TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Lessons will be focused on enhancing and strengthening your unique voice while creating the balance between healthy technique and artistic freedom. Lessons also enable you to become a well rounded musician overall through the study of music theory, sight reading, and ear training.

• Recording Device (Phone, tablet, handheld recorder, etc.)

• Your music

• Books

  • In our first lesson we will determine which level of music theory the student feels most comfortable starting with. Beginning students typically start with Alfred’s Essentials of Music Theory: Book 1. Students are also expected to purchase whichever voice fundamental book is best for their level. We will also determine which genre the student would like to focus on most and find the best corresponding vocal book to work with.
